A team outside England have made an approach to sign Dimitri Payet, reports L’Equipe.
The Frenchman has reportedly already agreed a €7m/year contract for four-and-a-half-years with Marseille, despite his agent denying it.
Marseille have increased their offer to €30m, and could wait until the last couple of days of the transfer window to complete a deal.
West Ham have already made a counter proposal to Marseille’s offer, but the Ligue 1 side haven’t responded to it yet, and L’Equipe believe the London side are starting to get impatient.
L’Equipe quote English media to suggest West Ham want Marseille to increase their offer by €1.2m, and that talks could accelerate in the next few hours.
The 29-year-old reportedly wants to return to Marseille and it remains to be seen if he’d consider offers from any other side.
However, L’Equipe say the non-Premier League side are playing in the Champions League, and that could be tempting for Payet.
