Serie A side Napoli now have Tottenham Hotspur fullback Ben Davies as an option for the summer market, according to reports from Italy.

It’s RAI journalist Ciro Venerato who makes the claims in a chat with Radio Kiss Kiss (via Napoli Magazine). He says the Spurs player has emerged as an alternative in case the club can’t sign Emerson Palmieri from Chelsea.

Just like Tottenham have been linked to many Serie A players due the arrival of Fabio Paratici at the club, we now see the opposite, with the story saying the director could help in this outgoing transfer as well.

Venerato claims that Napoli have a good relationship with the official, and that could make this transfer possible.

Currently valued by Transfermarkt at 16m, Davies had been regularly playing for Tottenham this season, starting all the games in the Europa League, and had his sequence stopped by his shin injury in late March.

He’s now back in action in Euro 2020 for Wales.

We frequently see Napoli being linked to Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri, although it’s still not clear if they’re close to an agreement for him or not. Perhaps Napoli’s plan will depend on how much Blues and Spurs ask for their players.
