Liverpool’s new signing Luis Diaz is now ready to join the Reds’ squad.
Following the international duty with Colombia, who played last night in Argentina, the winger reportedly took a flight straight to England to go meet his new club for the first time.
According to RCN, while his national teammates went to the airport together, Diaz ‘packed his things’ and ‘went alone to take a charter flight’ which would take him to Liverpool.
Colombia didn’t have a happy farewell from Argentina, as they’re now nearly out of the 2022 World Cup, and the winger was in tears following the 1-0 defeat to Argentina.
Luis Diaz was bought by Liverpool for €45m, with performance bonuses which can make the purchase from Porto reach €60m.
In his time with the Dragons, the winger had 41 goals and 19 assists in 125 appearances. Featuring for Colombia, he was Copa America’s top scorer last summer.
Now with the 25-year-old on his way to Liverpool, he should soon be presented by his new club and prove himself in the Premier League.
