Rangers coach Sascha Lense has hailed the club, explaining what he’s found behind the scenes as outstanding.
BILD have an interview with the Rangers coach today. He discusses various topics, including having to change his car choice when he first arrived at Ibrox due to it being green.
The 50-year-old is part of the Rangers backroom staff behind Danny Röhl, who he previously worked with at RB Leipzig and Sheffield Wednesday.
It’s the latest in a series of moves around Europe for Lense since 2014. He started his post-playing career at Dynamo Dresden as their Sport Psychologist.
From their he went to Leipzig, had another spell at Dynamo and then headed to Schalke. In December 2020 he took up the same role at Manchester United before leaving in June 2022.
He then became Performance Manager at Sheffield Wednesday in 2023. He held the role until October 2025 when he followed Röhl to Ibrox.
He’s worked at some of the biggest clubs during his career, then, but it seems he’s been left very impressed by what he’s found behind the scenes at Rangers so far.
“The facilities at the training centre are outstanding,” he said.
“Ibrox Stadium is fantastic. A great mix of tradition and modernity. Everything inside is made of wood, the trophies are polished, the parquet floor gleams. Now we’ll see if we can overtake our city rivals.”
Lense also spoke about having to swap his hire car, due to it having Celtic colours.
