Tottenham

Harry Kane is not interested in a return to Tottenham Hotspur, with that rumour now being rubbished entirely in Germany.

SportBILD cover the 33-year-old today as he continues to rest following the World Cup, before returning to Bayern Munich.

Tottenham rumour shot down

In the meantime, the rumour mill around the England star continues to drive along. Barcelona have reportedly sounded out his camp, and so have Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal.

Tim Sherwood, who managed him at Tottenham has also been earning attention by claiming Kane wants to return to Tottenham.

SportBILD are having none of that. They say that Kane is currently ignoring all transfer talk and enjoying a holiday with his family in the Caribbean.

He has already declined talks with Barcelona and Al-Hilal. And a return to Tottenham is ‘out of the question’ as well. In fact, he has reportedly signalled to Bayern’s bosses that he wants to continue with them and extend his contract.

Contract negotiations

Concrete negotiations for that are set to being in early August. That’s when Kane will rejoin the Bayern squad. A pay cut will not be a part of he negotiations. The key question is how long both parties are considering extending for.

The matter is considered a top priority at Bayern either way. The two parties trust and respect each other. They have maintained a strong relationship since his move from Tottenham in 2023.

Kane, for his part, wants to keep playing at the highest level as he looks to win more trophies and potentially end England’s trophy drought. The Premier League goalscoring record – often cited as being important – is not a priority for Kane.

Returning to Tottenham would allow him to chase down Alan Shearer’s record, but the reality is that Kane cares little. In fact, he seems completely uninterested in a return to the Premier League in general.
