Tottenham are gravitating towards a move for Everton midfielder Amadou Onana, and potentially competing with Arsenal for his signature.
That’s according to journalist Ignazio Genuardi, who reports that Arsenal are ‘strongly interested’ in the Belgian midfielder but could now face competition for his signature from Tottenham.
Onana has been toying with a move away from Everton for months, with reports across Europe indicating he has suitors in Spain, Germany and England.
He’s been fuelling the fires too, recently admitting he was looking to use Euro 2024 to his advantage and demonstrate his talents to the biggest clubs in Europe and potentially convince them to make a bid for him.
Genuardi now reports that Arsenal appear to be ‘strongly interested’ in the Everton star as they look for a reinforcement in midfield.
They’re not the only London side showing an interest, though, as the midfielder also appeals to Tottenham, who are looking to continue their rebuild under Ange Postecoglou.
The belief is that he could be available for around €60m, although there is no indication of whether Arsenal or Tottenham would be willing to pay such a price.
At the moment the pair appear to just be eyeing up the Everton man, but with the Toffees reportedly needing a big sale before the end of this month thanks to PSR, perhaps that is about to change.
