Tottenham Hotspur’s Sánchez was a regular for Colombia at the Copa América, where they were knocked out in the semi-final by eventual winners Argentina.
The 25-year-old is currently on holiday and while he takes time away from football, he has been linked with a move away from the north London club.
On July 14th, Gianluca Di Marzio reported Spurs are interested in Jules Koundé and in order to sign him, they would offer the centre-back plus €30m to Sevilla.
Sánchez is managed by Néstor Villarreal and the agent dismissed his client moving to the La Liga side this summer.
“It’s press stuff. This happens when you open the pass book. However, there’s nothing,” Villarreal said, as quoted by Gol Caracol.
The Colombia international couldn’t enjoy regular minutes under José Mourinho last season. The Portuguese tactician is no longer at the club and Tottenham have appointed Nuno Espírito Santo as his permanent successor.
Although it’s not clear what Nuno’s stance is on Sánchez, Villarreal, who stressed the player is happy, has opened the door for his client to leave Spurs this summer.
“In the case of Dávinson and Duván [Zapata] we are working on some things, on the lookout and looking to see if something comes out,” the agent explained.
“However, it must be said that the two are calm where they are, at Tottenham and Atalanta.
“They have a contract, if something better or more important comes out, they will leave or else they will stay. They are having no problem there [at their respective clubs].”
