Oliver Glasner has just over six months left on his contract at Crystal Palace and his future beyond this season still needs to be clarified.

On Sunday, the manager saw the Eagles suffer a 1-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur at home.

After the match, the Austrian spoke to Sky Deutschland reporter Dirk Schlarmann. His colleague, Florian Plettenberg, took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to relay the Crystal Palace manager’s comments.

Glasner was instrumental in helping Crystal Palace win the FA Cup last season, the first major success in the club’s history. The London club then beat Liverpool to win the Community Shield.

Back in August, the 51-year-old shared his love for the English club. On December 9th, Glasner said he’s “always in discussions internally” with Crystal Palace, when asked about his renewal.

Since then, claims have reported the manager has decided against signing an extension at Slelhurst Park.

On Sunday, Austrian journalist Peter Linden didn’t rule out a Crystal Palace stay beyond this season. However, he explained Tottenham Hotspur are likely to be Glasner’s next club.

Schlarmann now asked Glasner about his contract situation and a possible departure from Crystal Palace.

Responding to that, he said: “In four days, we’re playing Fulham here. We have matches on the [January] 1st, 4th, 7th and 10th, four games in nine days.

“That’s why summer feels very far away for me, not just because of the temperatures, but because the daily schedule simply leaves no time to think about it.”
