According to a claim in the Turkish media, Fenerbahce have made an offer for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pierre Emile Hojbjerg.
The Danish international has been linked with a move to the Turkish side in recent weeks and a possible reunion with his former Spurs boss Jose Mourinho.
Takvim have reported on the latest developments regarding Fenerbahce’s pursuit of the Tottenham player and they say the Super Lig side have tabled an offer worth €8m.
However, the Premier League side are looking to get around €15m for Hojbjerg, so transfer talks will continue between the two clubs.
It’s claimed Fener could now go in with an offer of €10m plus bonuses to get this deal over the line. They are also prepared to offer the 28-year-old €4.5m a season to come to Istanbul, a figure which is likely after tax.
Hojbjerg is expected to leave Tottenham this summer after finding his chances limited last season, making just eight starts in the Premier League.
There were reports last week that the north London side are looking to sell him when the transfer window opens next month.
He’s contracted to Tottenham until June 2025.
