Aston Villa are on the verge of signing Beşiktas’ Tammy Abraham in the winter market.
Unai Emery’s side have been working on this operation and have already made advances.
Aston Villa will include Yasin Özcan as part of the deal to bring Abraham back to Villa Park.
The Black Eagles signed Abraham on loan from AS Roma in July 2025 with a purchase option for the summer. On Monday, the Turkish club confirmed they have exercised the option to make his stay permanent.
Beşiktas invested €13m to buy the 28-year-old Englishman and took this step to sell him to Aston Villa. The club has announced the first part of the double operation, relayed by Sabah.
The Villans allowed Özcan to spend this season on loan at Anderlecht. The 19-year-old’s stay in Belgium has been cut short as he’s heading to Beşiktas. The Aston Villa player will arrive in Istanbul later today to complete his medical tests.
‘Professional football player Yasin Özcan will arrive in Istanbul this evening for medical checks and to finalise transfer negotiations. The plane carrying Yasin Özcan will arrive at Istanbul Airport International Terminal at 8:40PM this evening,’ a statement read.
Demirören News Agency, a Turkish news agency, also cover this. Özcan is moving to Turkey as part of Abraham’s sale to the Premier League side.
Aston Villa are sending Beşiktas €21m plus Özcan in exchange for the English attacker.
The Turkish defender is also returning to his home country. It won’t be long before Beşiktas confirm that Abraham will move in the opposite direction.
