Barcelona’s Franck Kessié has ended up on Tottenham Hotspur’s agenda for the winter market.

Journalist Alfredo Martínez told Onda Cero’s program, Radioestadio Noche, that ‘there is an offer from Tottenham’ of just over €15m for the midfielder.

Writing in his column for Sport, Martínez has provided more information about the 26-year-old’s case.

The La Liga side must raise funds to secure long-term futures of some of their players and consider making new signings in January. One way to achieve this is by selling a one or more of their players.

Memphis Depay is considered as a transferable, but he has no plans to leave the club midway through the season. Due to the ex-Lyon man’s stance, the journalist claims Kessié is the ‘only one bargaining chip’ left at Barcelona.

However, Xavi Hernández believes in the Ivory Coast international and wants him to continue at the Camp Nou.

The Catalan club also have no intention of selling him, but the situation could change before the January window closes because ‘money is needed’ for the Blaugrana.

Therefore, the former AC Milan has an ‘uncertain future’ and Spurs have already made efforts to sign him.

According to Sport, Barca are handling an offer of just over €15m from Antonio Conte’s side for Kessié.
