There are new claims in the Turkish media on the future of Paul Onuachu, and it seems Trabzonspor have now made an offer for the Southampton player.
Onuachu spent last season on loan with the Super Lig side and impressed during his time in Turkey.
Super Haber have today reported on the latest developments regarding Trabzonspor’s pursuit of the 30-year-old. They say the Trabzon club have offered Southampton €2.5m to take him on loan for another season, with an option to buy him next summer.
There are no reports yet what the redemption fee will be set at, but it’s likely this will be negotiated as talks continue. Recent reports said Southampton wanted €15m for the centre forward, a transfer fee Trabzonspor are not to prepared to pay.
It’s again claimed Onuachu would like to re-join the Turkish side and has instructed his agent to get a deal done. Besiktas have also been linked with the Southampton player in recent days as they look to bring in a centre forward.
The Nigeria international made 25 appearances last season, scoring 17 goals. He’s contracted to the Saints until June 2026.
