There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Galatasaray have made a move for Norwich City midfielder Gabriel Sara.
The Brazilian has been linked with the Super Lig champions in the past week, along with a number of other clubs.
Yagiz Sabuncuoglu has today claimed Galatasaray have tabled an offer with Norwich City to sign Sara in this window. Gala are keen to bring in an experienced centre midfielder this summer after not taking up the option to sign Tanguy Ndombele on a permanent deal from Tottenham Hotspur.
However, the Turkish journalist reports Galatasaray’s initial bid has been rejected by the Championship club and they’ve been told to increase their offer.
Yesterday we covered reports from Turkey that the Istanbul side are looking to be patient in their pursuit of Sara as they aren’t prepared to meet Norwich City’s €20m valuation.
With Leeds United, Crystal Palace, Leicester City and Atalanta all said to be interested in the 25-year-old this seems a risky strategy.
He made 50 appearances for his club last season, scoring 14 goals.
