Chelsea face Real Madrid on Tuesday evening in the first-leg of their Champions League semi-final.

That means there’s been endless articles about the Blues across the Spanish sport media, and, as usually happens in this situation, a Premier League player from Spain has been asked to give his opinion.

Pablo Fornals has played 31 matches for West Ham so far this season, scoring four goals and adding three assists. His last appearance came in the 1-0 defeat to Chelsea at the weekend, so he was a good option for Onda Cero to speak to as they build their coverage ahead of the Madrid match.

On Thomas Tuchel’s side and the changes which have happened since the German replaced Frank Lampard as manager, Fornals said: “The biggest change that Chelsea has made with the arrival of Tuchel is that they have involved more people. Now they rotate more, Kepa, who hardly played, and Marcos Alonso have their opportunities. Many players who counted less now play. You can see in the statistics that it is very difficult to score a goal against them.”

Fornals told Onda Cero that Mason Mount is a player who stands out for him at Chelsea and named Vinicius as the man to stop this evening.

The midfielder was also asked about his switch to West Ham: “My last year at Villarreal was difficult. Since I was little it was my dream to play in the Premier League and the offer came at the right time. I’ve tried to win a place and play as much as possible.”
