On Saturday, AFC Bournemouth suffered a 2-1 defeat against Brentford in the Premier League at the Liberty Stadium.
Andoni Iraola replaced Ryan Christie with Luis Sinisterra in the 67th minute and Dango Ouattara then replaced the Colombia international, who picked up an injury.
La Tricolor manager Néstor Lorenzo has included the Bournemouth player in his squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Brazil and Paraguay later this month.
The Colombian football association [FCF], via their official website, have confirmed that the winger will miss the upcoming matches.
Lorenzo, his coaching staff and the national team players have all wished the 25-year-old a ‘speedy recovery’. The FCF have already confirmed Internacional’s Johan Carbonero as the former Leeds United man’s replacement.
The South American has played 230 minutes from 12 Premier League games this season. A hamstring injury kept him away from the pitch for over 100 days between October and February.
Since his recovery, Sinisterra has only been used as a substitute. At the weekend, the Bournemouth manager confirmed the South American has suffered a similar injury to what picked up earlier in the season.
