Lucas Paquetá and Emerson Palmieri were among the new players to arrive at West Ham United in the summer.
The attacking midfielder joined the Hammers from Lyon towards the end of the last window.
Emerson, on the other hand, swapped Chelsea for West Ham, after spending the previous season on loan at the Ligue 1 side.
Emerson and the Brazil international played together at Lyon last term and were reunited again in the English capital, after West Ham invested in securing the duo’s services.
During the left-back’s loan spell in France last campaign, Paquetá helped him settle in the new environment.
Emerson is now returning the favour to the South American by helping him adjust to the demands of the Premier League. This was revealed by West Ham manager David Moyes.
Gazzetta dello Sport interviewed the former Blues man and when he was pointed out about Moyes’ comment, Emerson said: “He is a friend of mine and I want to help him adapt to the Premier, both on and off the pitch. He did the same with me at Lyon last year, now it’s my turn. For me it’s a natural thing because I’m giving a hand to a friend.”
Since arriving at West Ham, the left-back has made 12 appearances in all competitions, scored one goal and provided one assist.
