As Hamburg enter an end of window panic, keen to bring players in, and perhaps even keener to see others leave, Chris Wood moving to Burnley is finally catching the attention of the German media.

Bild report there could now be ‘movement’ on Pierre-Michel Lasogga’s transfer to Leeds United, which would suit Hamburg well.

Lasogga is an ‘urgent’ case, and the Bundesliga club want to get his wages off their accounts, or as big a percentage of them as possible. The striker would ‘fit well’ in English football, which is another reason to push a Leeds United move, believe Bild.

It’s the same old story which has been reported since Lasogga to Leeds United came into the news.

What is interesting is the lack of other clubs being linked with Lasogga. Despite him being very much for sale or loan, it’s only really Leeds United in the picture.

There were claims in Germany of Lasogga being offered to Hannover, but those claims very quickly died out.

The closer the end of the window gets, perhaps the lower percentage of Lasogga’s wages Leeds United would have to pay.
