Back on Wednesday, the Portuguese media reported that Nottingham Forest had an offer for Benfica midfielder Florentino Luís rejected.
Newspaper Record wrote that the Tricky Trees put €30m on the table, and with the Eagles turning it down, the Premier League side would soon be back with a new bid.
It turns out that’s already happened, according to the very same Record today.
They now claim that the Reds offered €35m, but that was rejected by Benfica as well.
The newspaper says that still won’t be enough to stop Nottingham Forest from trying, as they want to be back with a new attempt.
It’s claimed that the Tricky Trees are the only club who are actually moving in this race, as despite showing interest, Liverpool never made their offer.
Record wrotes Florentino Luís is a ‘strong desire’ from Nottingham Forest and their board ‘will advance’ with their new bid soon.
Now we start to wonder how much will be enough to convince Benfica to let him go, as it’s no secret they’re one of the best sellers in Europe.
