Nottingham Forest have become the latest club to be credited with an interest in Feyenoord star Santiago Giménez.
That’s according to 1908.nl, who state Nottingham Forest’s desire to sign the 23-year-old will become concrete in a ‘very short time’.
The striker joined the Eredivisie side in 2022, and managed 51 goals and 12 assists from 87 games for Feyenoord, of which 26 goals and eight assists were from last season.
His fine displays have seen him linked with several top clubs, including from the Premier League.
Nottingham Forest are now added to the list and the report says they are the first English club to have ‘actually taken action’ to try and secure the frontman’s services this summer.
It’s claimed a ‘multi-million bid’ is ‘expected soon’ from Nuno Espírito Santo’s side for the Mexico international, without mentioning the amount they are set to table.
Intermediaries from the Netherlands are trying to take him to Nottingham Forest, but it’s not yet clear whether Giménez is willing to join them in this window.
Feyenoord and the player will have to make a decision if and when the Reds table an offer to sign him.
