Two months ago, we covered claims from Germany explaining that Nottingham Forest had shown interest in VfB Stuttgart star Serhou Guirassy.
The Tricky Trees didn’t take the necessary steps to sign the striker in the last window but continue to have their eyes on him.
That’s according to Bild, who state the 27-year-old is still a ‘hot candidate’ for Nottingham Forest.
The Guinea international has enjoyed an impressive start to this season, scoring 11 goals and registering two assists from seven games, and his displays have caught the attention of several clubs.
This includes Nottingham Forest, who had him in their target list in the last window but their interest didn’t ‘become concrete’. It’s said that could change now for Steve Cooper’s side as they have scored eight goals from seven league games this season.
Bild state Guirassy has a €20m release clause in his contract and that makes him a ‘real bargain’, if he continues his fine form.
Last week, Guirassy admitted that he wouldn’t be against the option to make a switch to the Premier League at some point in his career, and this would please Nottingham Forest, if they plan to activate his clause in January.
