Back in the January transfer window, Nottingham Forest placed a €20m bid to sign Álvaro Valles from UD Las Palmas.
The Reds’ attempt was made public by the Spanish club, who actually sounded proud that they managed to hold the goalkeeper despite that bid.
It turns out that as Estadio Deportivo today writes about Valles’ future, they make it sound like Nottingham Forest’s attempt is a problem for other clubs who now want him.
The outlet writes that the goalkeeper is keen on returning to his former club Betis, and there are talks going on about this move.
The big problem is that after turning down the €20m from Nottingham Forest, Las Palmas want at least €15m to make a deal, and that’s not something the interested club is willing to pay.
The talks are on, and the player’s wish might help, but his club are really wishing they get a similar offer this time.
Recent reports from Spain even claimed that Nottingham Forest could come back for the player, but that isn’t a possibility mentioned by Estadio Deportivo right now.
