According to a claim in the Italian media, Nottingham Forest will have to improve on their initial offer to sign Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic.
In recent days the Serbian international has been linked with a move to the City Ground as the Premier League side look to strengthen their squad this summer.
Gazzetta Dello Sport today report on the latest developments regarding Nottingham Forest’s pursuit of Milenkovic, and they say the English side will need to increase their €15m offer.
It’s claimed Fiorentina will be looking to get at least €20m for the central defender and the first offer of €15m has only brought the two clubs to the negotiating table. Transfer talks are said to be at an early stage and subsequently an agreement doesn’t look close right now.
Only yesterday we covered reports from Italy that Forest are leading the way to sign the 26-year-old but face Premier League competition to land him. Tottenham Hotspur, Fulham and Aston Villa are also reportedly interested in the Viola player.
Milenkovic made 49 appearances for Fiorentina last season and is contracted to the Serie A side until June 2027.
