Nottingham Forest do not intend to make use of Gustavo Scarpa this season, according to reports from Brazil.
UOL journalist Bruno Andrade writes that the player is already aware that he’s out of the club’s plans.
It’s claimed that Scarpa now ‘waits for a concrete definition’ from Nottingham Forest regarding a potential loan.
According to UOL, the player sees a move back to Brazil with ‘good eyes’, as he had recently received approaches from clubs from his home country.
The news comes at an interesting time because recent reports from the Brazilian media claimed that the likes of Flamengo and Palmeiras could try the signing of Scarpa this summer, and those same stories said the player was focused on proving himself at Nottingham Forest, since his first months at the club weren’t great.
The midfielder struggled with personal issues and injuries since his arrival at City Ground in January, and was hoping for a fresh chance at the start of the season.
Now, it seems he won’t have that opportunity, and may have to move somewhere else, with his contract with at City Ground running until 2026.
