Late on Wednesday, Sky Italia came out with a report stating that Nottingham Forest are very interested in Atalanta’s Remo Freuler.
They sais negotiations for the Switzerland international’s sale started in the last few hours.
Nottingham Forest have made first contact to sign the midfielder and are willing to make an offer to the Serie A side.
The newly promoted Premier League club are optimistic about completing a deal for Freuler.
TuttoMercatoWeb on Thursday have a report stating that Nottingham Forest are ‘very close’ to reaching an agreement with Gian Piero Gasperini’s side for the 30-year-old.
Steve Cooper’s side have tabled a €7m offer and this is not far from Atalanta’s request of €10m.
Freuler, through his entourage, has ‘already initiated contacts’ with Nottingham Forest and has informed them he is ‘available’ for a transfer this summer. The talks are in progress and the player is ‘very close to a farewell’ from Atalanta.
Operating in the middle of the pitch and as a defensive midfielder last season, Freuler featured 43 times in all competitions, scoring two goals and adding six assists in the process.
