Earlier this week, we covered claims from Sweden that Malmö FF have concerns over the availability of some of their players for their Europa League clash against Nottingham Forest.

Arnór Sigurdsson and Taha Ali had both trained with the squad on Monday, which was a boost.

Malmö interim manager Anes Mravac said it’s uncertain the two wingers will be able to face the Reds. He also said Otto Rosengren is ‘highly doubtful’ for the European clash at Nottingham Forest’s home stadium on Thursday.

Fotbollskanalen provide the latest on the Malmö trio’s involvement against Sean Dyche’s side.

Rosengren, a 22-year-old midfielder, is struggling with a foot injury and therefore, will miss today’s fixture.  Ali is also unavailable, without the report mentioning the nature of his injury.

In his pre-match press conference, Mravac said it’s “correct” that both Rosengren and Ali, the 27-year-old winger, won’t be in the squad to face Nottingham Forest. Fotbollskanalen report Sigurdsson is also ‘missing’.

They further add Malmö’s Erik Botheim, Anders Christiansen and Lasse Berg Johnsen are ‘ready to play’. According to the interim boss, the former two aren’t fit enough to be on the pitch for the full 90 minutes.

“First of all, I and all of us are happy that they are back. They have been training for two weeks. I think they are ready for shorter substitutions,” Mravac explained.
