Nottingham Forest are set to host Malmö FF in the Europa League on Thursday.
The visitors have concerns regarding a few players for the upcoming clash.
Gasetten, a website dedicating its coverage to Malmö, reports the latest on the fitness of certain players to face Nottingham Forest.
It’s claimed Malmö trio of Otto Rosengren, Malte Frejd Pålsson and Gentian Lajqi were missing from Monday’s training session.
Meanwhile, midfielders Anders Christiansen and Lasse Berg Johnsen were back in training. The duo could be in contention to face Sean Dyche’s side. Malmö striker Erik Botheim is also available for the Nottingham Forest match.
Fotbollskanalen also reports Christiansen, Johnsen and Botheim have all returned to full training and are available for Thursday.
Malmö wingers Arnór Sigurdsson and Taha Ali had trained with the rest of the squad on Monday. However, Malmö interim manager Anes Mravac says the attacking duo are unlikely to be fit on time to face Nottingham Forest.
“Arnór is on his way back. He has been in some football training but isn’t available to play full-time, 11 v 11. Taha is unfortunately not available yet,” he said.
The Swedish club’s boss has also raised doubts over Rosengren’s involvement against the Premier League side as he’s yet to return to training.
“Otto still has problems with his foot, so he hasn’t practiced football since the Gais match. We’ll see how it goes before Thursday, but it (game) is highly doubtful,” Mravac explained.
To sum it up, Rosengren, Sigurdsson and Ali seem set to miss the European clash against Nottingham Forest.
