As the Brazilian media continues to bring up updates about Nottingham Forest’s attempt to sign Danilo from Palmeiras, we now get to see a couple of videos about the situation.
One of them comes from journalist André Hernan, who claims the Reds’ €20m bid for the midfielder is official.
His report, however, claims Nottingham Forest’s offer wasn’t accepted yet, because Monaco are also interested in the player and could now feel tempted to put more on the table.
Hernan says that’s a reason why Palmeiras could still negotiate for a few more millions or a percentage of a future transfer. But it’s also claimed that in the end, it’s the player who will choose where to move to, with the Premier League looking a bit more attractive.
Meanwhile, journalist Jorge Nicola claims to have spoken to someone close to Danilo who said: “It won’t go beyond this window, Danilo will be sold”.
It’s claimed that Nottingham Forest’s contact was made directly with Palmeiras, with the Brazilian club telling his agents about the offer, and the Reds haven’t got in touch with the representatives yet.
Nicola says Palmeiras continue to demand between €25m and €30m for the transfer.
Since they’re interested in Monaco’s Jean Lucas, they could still end up reaching a deal with the French club for the player plus €20m, so Forest may have to indeed raise their bid to win this battle.
