Nottingham Forest will be able to sign Robin Gosens on loan from Inter Milan this summer, if they firm up their interest in him.
That’s according to Sky Germany, who cover the player today and how he’s keen to move on from Inter Milan to ensure he’s a starter for Germany at the European Championship next summer.
We covered a report yesterday that stated Nottingham Forest had joined the race for Gosens signature and their hopes of a deal happening had been boosted by the fact he wasn’t concerned about where he goes next.
Sky follow that up today and explain how the player is ‘very popular’ at Union Berlin, who have already started negotiations over a possible transfer.
They’ve sent a first offer to the player but are yet to start negotiations with Inter Milan over a potential deal.
The Italian side are currently asking for a transfer fee of between €15-18m for the defender but the option of a loan deal with a subsequent purchase obligation is also ‘in the room’.
That, presumably, is something which applies to Nottingham Forest, who are also in the mix but not mentioned by Sky today.
They’re seeking a replacement for Renan Lodi, who was also at the club on loan this season and replacing him with Gosens on a favourable loan deal could be the ideal solution.
