It’s safe to say Loic Bade’s transfer to Nottingham Forest haven’t gone as expected so far.
Loaned by French side Rennes last summer, the defender joined the Reds on a one-year spell which even included a buying option.
It turns out that Bade only has one appearance made this season, and that’s still come in Ligue 1, as he hasn’t been used by Nottingham Forest yet.
And it seems that situation seems to be attracting the interest from other clubs, because according to Il Mattino (via Salernitana News), Italian club Salernitana are now keeping an eye on the player.
It’s claimed that sporting director Morgan De Sanctis now has Bade in his ‘notebook’, especially because signing a central defender is one of their priorities in the January market.
It’s not yet clear whether Salernitana have already made any kind of contacts for the signing.
For that to happen, they would first need to convince Nottingham Forest of cutting short the loan spell, and then agree a new transfer or loan with Rennes, who have the player under a contract until 2026.
