Nottingham Forest have reached an agreement with Lyon over midfielder Orel Mangala, with eth French side set to pay €27m and €3m in bonuses.
That’s according to Sacha Tavolieri, who says negotiations between the two sides have now come to a positive conclusion.
A report earlier today explained that Lyon had made a proposal worth €20m last night, which was summarily rejected by Nottingham Forest this morning, as they wanted €30m.
That explained talks between the two sides were ongoing to try and reach an agreement and Tavolieri reports that’s now been reached.
According to him the Belgian midfielder will move in an initial €27m deal that will include €3m in add-ons, thus matching Nottingham Forest’s initial demands.
He reports that Mangala ‘should sign’ for the French side on a deal until June 2027, should he agree to the move and pass a medical, which is presumably now being planned.
There’s no mention of the player’s wishes at this point, despite earlier claims that he would prefer to stay in England until the summer, but Tavolieri appears to believe he’ll accept the Lyon offer and be on his way to the Ligue 1 strugglers.
