Bayern Munich are big admirers of Nottingham Forest defender Murillo and could move for him in the near future.
That’s according to the Bayern Insider podcast, relayed by Fussball Transfers. They report that the Nottingham Forest defender is ‘in high demand’ at the German champions.
They explain that Bayern are likely planning to sign a new central defender next summer. That’s because Dayot Upamecano is yet to sign a contract extension. Kim Min-jae is also considered a sales candidate.
Thus, they are looking for potential reinforcements and Murillo is on their list. According to their information, the 23-year-old Nottingham Forest star is ‘highly sought-after’. They know, though, that any approach would be an expensive one.
His current deal with Nottingham Forest is valid until 2029. It also doesn’t include a release clause. There is also competition from the likes of Chelsea.
Murillo is one of several names currently being discussed alongside Marc Guehi and Nico Schloetterbeck. If they move for either of those three remains to be seen.
It must be noted that Christian Falk, who essentially is the Bayern Insider podcast, has working for Bild as his main job, That’s the biggest selling newspaper in Germany and almost certainly the go-to there for Bayern Munich news.
Should Bayern and Murillo be remotely serious that it’s a surprise Bild aren’t pushing the story at the same time.
