Nottingham Forest standing firm in transfer talks – Tricky Trees telling club there’s no discount

Just yesterday, Brazilian outlet UOL reported that Atlético Mineiro placed a bid for Nottingham Forest midfielder Gustavo Scarpa.

It was claimed that the Galo offered something between €4m and €5m for the player, who’s currently loaned out to Olympiacos.

It’s now time for Goal Brasil to come up with their story on it, claiming that the bid wasn’t delivered yet, but confirming that it should soon reach Nottingham Forest.

There are a couple of interesting claims in this fresher story, and those are about the stance taken by the Tricky Trees during the negotiations.

First of all, it’s claimed that Atlético would like to pay less than €4m for the transfer, but they could not convince Nottingham Forest to bring that price down.

Then it’s said that the only issue left is the payment method, as the Galo would like to do it in several instalments, and the Reds are still to agree with that.

At no moment is the Olympiacos loan mentioned, and it seems that in case Nottingham Forest decide to make the sale, they’ll just cut short his spell in Greece.
