Nottingham Forest are interested in Monza goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio, according to claims from the Italian media.
It’s Calcio Mercato who today feature a piece detailing the race for the 25-year-old, claiming he’s been having a great season following his permanent move from Inter Milan last summer.
The outlet writes that Nottingham Forest have ‘set their sights’ on the player, making an ‘initial request for information’ about his situation at Monza.
It’s said that only at the end of the season will it be ‘understood’ whether the Tricky Trees are coming ‘seriously’ for his signing.
Calcio Mercato state at least one goalkeeper will leave Monza this summer, given the competition they’re currently having for the position. And this interest from Nottingham Forest could decide that Di Gregorio is transferred instead of Alessio Cragno.
For now, there’s no information on how much it’d take to sign the Reds’ target. Monza, who had first loaned the player from Inter Milan, paid €4.15m for the purchase last summer. His value has been going up, with Transfermarkt now having it at €7m, so the Premier League side would need to make an attractive offer.
