Nottingham Forest are ‘seriously interested’ in Croatia star Dominik Livaković in a deal worth between €7-8m.
That’s according to Germanijak, who say the Saints will have to offer more if they are to get the 28-year-old out of Dinamo Zagreb.
Livaković has been the number one for Zagreb for several years but launched himself on the world stage in Qatar with a series of impressive performances for Croatia in their run to the semi-finals of the World Cup.
He was subsequently named as the second best goalkeeper at the tournament and that has made him an ‘extremely sought-after’ commodity.
Nottingham Forest are one of them and are ‘seriously interested’ in doing a deal for the goalkeeper this month for €7-8m.
That would not be enough to convince Dinamo into a sale and they are ‘determined’ to get at least €10m for their man, particularly as that is the value of the transfer clause in his current contract.
That figure would be a ‘quite ridiculous’ figure to pay for a player of Premier League quality say Germanijak, who believe Livaković is worth far more.
Dinamo likely think the same.
At the moment it is far more realistic that Livaković will leave in the summer, which would make sense for Nottingham Forest as that is when Dean Henderson’s loan deal ends and he returns to Manchester United.
However, their ‘focus’ is currently on Livaković and there is every chance they will move this month to secure him ahead of competitors such as Villarreal.
