Nottingham Forest are reportedly one of the many clubs in the race for Hellas Verona winger Cyril Ngonge.
With several sides currently linked to the 23-year-old, outlet TuttoMercatoWeb now shares a story with the latest news on his future.
The website writes that Nottingham Forest were one of the first to go after the player, as well as Fiorentina, Aston Villa, Napoli and AC Milan.
Hellas Verona already turned down a €10m bid from La Viola, as their request is between €12m and €13m. Now they wait for some of the clubs to show up with that amount on the table.
The club are looking to make sales in the winter window and Ngonge is considered to be at their exit door, so his departure won’t exactly be a surprise.
It now remains to be seen whether Nottingham Forest will take action, because several other outlets in the Italian media had been speaking about the race for the player and this is the first report mentioning the Reds’ interest this week.
It’s worth pointing out that Leicester City have also been said to be in the competition, but given they’re in the Championship that seems an unlikely destination.
