Inter Milan’s Davide Frattesi has previously been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur but Nottingham Forest have emerged as a potential suitor for him.

This update about the Italian midfielder comes from TuttoSport, who have taken a detailed look at the situation of the Inter star.

They state that Nottingham Forest are interested in the 25-year-old and the newspaper believe that the player will be a key target if the Tricky Trees qualify for the Champions League.

Frattesi is seen as someone who can add Champions League quality to the side.

As a result, club owner Evangelos Marinakis is keen to ‘raise the bar’ to land the midfielder, who is valued between €35m and €40m by the Italian champions.

There is also an indication that Nottingham Forest can make contact for the player in April and want to beat competition quickly, with wages not expected to be a roadblock.

Something along the same lines is relayed by Calciomercato.it, who state that Inter CEO Beppe Marotta wants a fee of €45m to let Frattesi leave. The player’s demands and intentions could play a key role in any move that he makes.

There is a possibility that he would want to stay in Serie A even after leaving Inter, but Nottingham Forest are still a credible candidate to land him.
