Nottingham Forest are today thrown into the race for Estudiantes star Benjamin Rollheiser.
In the past few weeks, there’s been a big race for his signing, with Benfica being reported as the main contenders to land him.
That’s why it’s Portuguese newspaper Record who brings the information. As they feature a piece about the winger’s future, they claim Nottingham Forest are ‘preparing an offer’ for Rollheiser.
It’s said the Reds are one of the clubs who have shown interest in the player, although there are no details on how much the Tricky Trees are prepared to put on the table.
Estudiantes are reportedly willing to make €9m with the sale, but considering that there are other clubs in the race, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the Argentine side manage to negotiate for more.
Record also claims that they’re now trying to get him sold now and only let him move in the middle of the year.
Besides Nottingham Forest and Benfica, Newcastle United have also been reported as competitors for the signing, so the Tricky Trees should be aware that it won’t be easy to land the 23-year-old, even if he isn’t the most expensive on paper.
