Nottingham Forest striker Hwang Ui-jo is set to leave the club on a new loan.
According to journalist Giannis Chorianopoulos, the player is heading back to South Korea, where he ‘will sign’ for FC Seoul.
There are no further details on how long the spell will be, although it’s likely that it lasts until the end of the season.
Ui-jo Hwang joined Nottingham Forest on a €4m deal from Bordeaux last summer, but didn’t get a chance to make his debut for the Reds.
That’s because he was immediately loaned to Olympiacos, where he had 12 appearances.
His time in Greece wasn’t great, as despite a few games in his first months at the club, he suddenly stopped being used back in October.
He even entered the pitch in a cup game in January this year, but that wasn’t enough for a turnaround, and the sides decided to cut short his spell.
Now back in his home country, Ui-jo Hwang could have a new chance to play regularly once again. The 30-year-old’s contract with Nottingham Forest still runs until 2025.
