On Wednesday, 1908.nl reported Feyenoord have included Nottingham Forest full-back Neco Williams’ name in their target list for the winter market.

Thursday’s edition of Algemeen Dagblad has backed it up and provide more details on the Dutch club’s plans for the 22-year-old.

The Eredivisie side are looking to bring in a winger and a right-back in January, and the Nottingham Forest player is identified as a target for the latter.

Feyenoord’s interest in the Wales international isn’t concrete just yet, but the newspaper states he could become a serious option for them this month. Apart from him, the club’s director, Dennis Te Kloese, also has other names in his target list.

Operating as both left and right-back, Williams has made 14 appearances this season.

New Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espírito Santo has used him as a substitute in the last two league games.

It’s not clear if this has any impact, as AD claim the Welshman is surprisingly open to leaving the Tricky Trees for Feyenoord in January.

This is to improve his chances of representing Wales at the Euros, provided they secure a place in the summer’s tournament.
