Arnaud Kalimuendo has already agreed personal terms with Eintracht Frankfurt to join them on a permanent basis from Nottingham Forest in the summer.

That’s according to BILD. They cover the striker today after his loan move from Nottingham Forest was finalised.

They say the Frenchman passed his medical yesterday and joined on loan with an option to buy. Eintracht are paying an initial €1.5m for the loan and could sign him permanently for €27m in the summer.

It’s a big moment for the German club, who have been pursuing the striker for two years. Sporting director Markus Krösche is a big fan and wanted him before Nottingham Forest swooped in the summer.

Now he has his man, and the hope is he shines enough that he joins permanently. According to BILD, that looks likely. They say that ‘intriguingly’, Eintracht have already negotiated a contract with the striker. He would sign until 2031 with a base salary of €3m if he ends up signing permanently.

The newspaper presents this as something a little strange, but in reality, it’s likely just Eintracht doing some forward planning and nothing more. If anything, it hints that the permanent deal is likely to happen in the summer at some point.
