Nottingham Forest’s desire to sign Ibrahim Sangaré has been widely covered in the Dutch press over the past month or so.

On July 26th, Eindhovens Dagblad stated the Tricky Trees are in regular contact with the 25-year-old’s entourage. Two days later, ESPN journalist Milan van Dongen explained that the Premier League side seem to want to pay €35m for him.

According to ED, relayed by Voetbal Primeur, Nottingham Forest have a ‘concrete interest’ in the midfielder who is valued at €37.5m. Steve Cooper’s side are not the only club after him.

Fussball Transfers now state Nottingham Forest are set to face competition from Bayern Munich in the race for the Ivory Coast international.

Thomas Tuchel has requested his superiors for a new No.6 and Sangaré has been added to the Bundesliga side’s target list.

It’s claimed the PSV player is the new ‘hot candidate’ for Bayern and he would be open to making a switch to Germany. There’s a possibility that the parties could start concrete talks soon. FT add it won’t be a bargain deal for the Bavarian club.

Bayern’s interest would certainly not please Cooper and his side, who have been chasing Sangaré for a while.
