On Friday, we covered claims from Italy which stated Crystal Palace are in the picture to sign Luiz Henrique in the winter market. Nottingham Forest have joined the Eagles in the chase for Botafogo player.

That’s according to Firenze Viola, and they cover Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace’s interest in the winger.

The 24-year-old has given his approval to Fiorentina, who haven’t yet agreed a deal with the Brazilian club. Their aim is to collect €40m including bonuses and they’re awaiting offers in that region.

‘There is a strong pressure’ from the Premier League where money isn’t thought to be a problem, and Nottingham Forest are mentioned immediately. They’re third in the table and enjoying an impressive season so far, now looking to further improve their squad in this window.

It’s an ‘opportunity not to be wasted’ for Nottingham Forest, who have set their sights on Henrique.

The report says the winger can be a ‘nice gift’ to Nuno Espírito Santo in this window. They further insist the Brazilian would be a ‘luxury reserve’ considering the attacking options currently available at the club.

Crystal Palace’s interest is mentioned as the outlet claims they have made a proposal, without sharing specific details. The London club would have a preference to sign Henrique because their co-owner, John Textor, also owns Botafogo.

Fiorentina will face competition from Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace to sign the South American. The Serie A side will wait for a few more days before launching an attack and if they fail, they have identified Parma’s Dennis Man as an alternative.

Interestingly, Fiorentina’s local media seem especially concerned it’s a Evangelos Marinakis club moving in, perhaps still stinging since Fiorentina lost the Europa Conference final to Olympiacos.
