Nottingham Forest are one of three sides interest in Napoli striker Lorenzo Lucca, with a January exit looking likely.
That’s according to journalist Alfredo Pedulla. He reports that Lucca could leave Napoli this month to get playing time, and three clubs are on the list. Nottingham Forest are one of them.
The striker currently finds himself behind Rasmus Hojlund in the pecking order. Romelu Lukaku is also ahead of him if he can get back fully fit. It means the 25-year-old has managed just 569 minutes of football this season and just four starts in Serie A.
He’d like to be playing regularly and so a loan move could be on the cards. Porto are very keen and have already made contact, while Benfica are also making enquiries.
They could face competition from Nottingham Forest, though. Sean Dyche’s side are described as the ‘most interested club’ in the Premier League at this moment in time.
They could be on the hunt for an offensive reinforcement as Arnaud Kalimuendo is set to join Eintracht Frankfurt and Chris Wood remains an injury concern.
Napoli will assess offers in the coming days, once there’s more certainty about Lukaku’s condition.
