The latest news on the player comes from L’Equipe, who explain the defender will be loaned out to Schalke 04, who have won the race to get him.
Soppy, down his end, will be heading to Gelsenkirchen on a loan without an option to buy, and is even expected to travel there on Wednesday afternoon.
The defender had been on loan at Torino until the end of the season, but hadn’t been playing a lot, which is why Atalanta were trying to find another situation, which is where Nottingham Forest were coming in.
