Late in the January transfer window, Nottingham Forest agreed a deal with Standard Liège for the loan of Jonathan Panzo.

The Englishman, who had seen his temporary deal with Cardiff cut short, was sent to Belgium in hope of getting more minutes with an option to buy attached in case he impressed.

However, DH explain that hasn’t been the case so far, as the Nottingham Forest loanee has looked wobbly, to say the least, in his first couple of games for the Belgian side.

Publishing an article to help their readers discover a bit more about the player, they end it by asking whether he is a ‘true reinforcement’ for the Jupiler Pro League club, and his debuts ‘suggest no’.

He has plenty of time to change that, of course, but he has already cost his team a goal, even if he has been deployed as a left-back, which isn’t his natural position.

They point out he ‘seemed lost’ in the game against OH Leuven at times, and he is ‘clearly not connected’ to the team just yet.

The player now needs to ‘rapidly convince’ those at the top if he wants to keep on playing football away from Nottingham Forest with Standard Liege, who will have to spend €1.3m if they want to make the move permanent.
