Having chased a new goalkeeper all summer, it appears Nottingham Forest are close to finally getting one.
That’s what journalist Pedro Sepúlveda is reporting on Thursday afternoon on Twitter, as he reveals the latest information in the Tricky Trees’ attempts to sign Odysseas Vlachodimos.
He explains the next few hours will be ‘decisive’, as Nottingham Forest are making a ‘final offer’ to Benfica to sign the Greek goalkeeper.
Down his end, the 29-year-old has ‘already agreed personal terms’ with the City Ground residents, and is simply awaiting for the green light before travelling to complete the deal.
Should that happen, he would likely head to England, where a medical would be undertaken before signing his contract with Nottingham Forest.
We now have to wait and see whether the offer being sent to the Portuguese side will be enough to convince them, with previous reports claiming they were expecting around €10m to let him go.
Nottingham Forest know what they need to do, and have done half the work. Now, they need to sort out the most important part.
