There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Nottingham Forest are looking to sign Fenerbahce defender Bright Osayi-Samuel ahead of the summer window.
The former Queens Park Rangers player has repeatedly been linked with a return to England, with Crystal Palace also showing interest in recent months.
Takvim today report on the latest developments regarding the future of Osayi-Samuel at Fenerbahce, after reports a few weeks ago that he’d rejected a contract extension with the Istanbul giants.
Subsequently, the 27-year-old will be a free agent in the summer and Nottingham Forest have reportedly made their move for the player. It’s claimed the Premier League side have come up with a ‘serious offer’ for the right back and that transfer talks are ongoing.
According to Takvim, a pre-contract agreement is in place and at this stage Nottingham Forest look favourites to sign Osayi-Samuel. The Nigerian international is also said to be keen on a return to English football following his time at QPR.
Osayi-Samuel has made 29 appearances under Jose Mourinho this season and even though the Portuguese coach is keen for him to remain in Istanbul it seems he will be leaving the Yellow Canaries this summer.
