Two days ago, we carried a report from Eindhovens Dagblad, who stated PSV Eindhoven star Cody Gakpo has received ‘concrete’ interest from Nottingham Forest.

It was also explained the newly promoted Premier League side want to take the winger ‘immediately’.

Nottingham Forest have taken further steps to acquire the 23-year-old’s signature if the latest reports are to be believed.

ED, relayed by Voetbal Primeur, state ‘it is still possible’ for the player to leave the Eredivisie side this summer. At the moment, Steve Cooper’s side are the only club to have ‘made a bid’.

Apart from Forest, there isn’t anything concrete with Gakpo, other than the ‘latent interest of Leeds United’. Reports in the UK have said Manchester United emerged as a contender for the Netherlands international, who should cost around €40m, but there’s nothing on that at the Dutch end.

Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side overcame AS Monaco in the Champions League third qualifying round. They will have to beat Rangers this month to make it to the group stages of the competition.

ED state PSV don’t intend to sell Gakpo until they face Rangers [second leg is on August 24th]. The player could continue at the club for one more season if they make it to the Champions League group stages.
