Nottingham Forest winger Jota Silva could be set for his chance at Beşiktaş, thanks to the drama around Rafa Silva.

That’s according to Sabah. They report that a back injury has given Jota the chance to make his mark at the Turkish club.

The newspaper explains that Beşiktaş spent the international break dealing with a crisis around Rafa Silva. He’s fallen out with manager Sergen Yalçın. In fact, he threatened to retire due to the conflict.

It’s a full blown ‘crisis’ according to Sabah, with a negative atmosphere enveloping the club. To diffuse the tension, Beşiktaş delayed Silva’s treatment for a back injury until an hour and a half after team training. That was presumably to avoid him seeing the group.

As a result, he’s now out of the picture for the clash against Samsunspor this weekend. And it means the Nottingham Forest winger will be given his chance.

He’s only managed 113 minutes in five games since joining from Nottingham Forest in the summer. But his namesakes absence will give him a chance in the first team once again.

The 26-year-old is set to play on the left, with El Bilal Toure moving up front in the rotated squad. Whether he can prove himself to Yalçın, who reportedly didn’t want him, remains to be seen.
