Nottingham Forest have now received a calmer outlook from Turkey regarding Jota Silva’s knee scare. The winger, on loan at Beşiktaş, had caused concern after leaving the pitch against Gaziantep FK in a 2-2 draw that generated strong debate over refereeing decisions.

Turkish reports noted that he took a heavy blow in a disputed penalty incident and could not continue, which raised immediate doubts over the severity of the injury and his short-term availability.

However, the update delivered by club insider outlet Eagle Media, paints a more positive picture. Jota Silva confirmed that the rehabilitation is progressing as planned and made his own return date public. He stated: “I will return to training on 20th December.”

His decision to set a specific target suggests that the issue is not as serious as first feared, offering reassurance to both clubs involved in the loan.

In Turkey, the absence of the Nottingham Forest player caused worry, since he had begun to secure regular minutes and build momentum in Beşiktaş’s attack. The expectation now is that he will rejoin full sessions before the end of the month.

Whether he can immediately regain match rhythm will depend on how he responds once back on the pitch, but the outlook is clearly more stable than it appeared after the injury.
